The Fusion Newsletter is published with support from Nexus, the student section of the Institute of Physics.

Nexus

To find out more about Nexus visit their Web site or contact the Student Officer at the Institute of Physics.

The Fusion Newsletter On-line

As an added service to our members, all past editions of the Fusion Newsletter can be viewed on-line. To view a particular edition, just click on the appropriate issue listed below. The main articles in each edition are also listed, so click on any title to go directly to that article. Alternatively, you can select an edition's PDF link to download that issue of the Newsletter as a full colour PDF file. You can also use our Google search function, at the top of this page, to locate specific subjects mentioned in any past Fusion Newsletter or web page.

Newsletter Submissions

If you would like to submit a Newsletter item of your own, on any physics related topic, please email your article to our editor at

Newsletter E-mail

Our typical readers are in the middle of their OU undergraduate physics studies, over 30 years of age and scattered around the whole of the UK. Submissions should be 500 to 1,500 words in length and, if relevant, include one or two pictures or diagrams in high resolution JPG format. Acceptable text file formats (in order of choice) are MS Word, OpenOffice, RTF or plain ASCII text.

Fusion Membership

If you have enjoyed reading any of these Newsletters and have not yet joined Fusion, please do so by sending us a completed Membership Application Form. Alternatively you can download a PDF Application Form. Together with the Fusion Promotional Flyer these two documents make up the A4 leaflet that is sent out with OU physics course mailings each year. They can be used by members for promoting Fusion membership at events such as Summer Schools and Revision Weekends.
